USAA Membership Information The United States Albacore Association (USAA) was founded in 1965 to promote and support all types of Albacore sailing in the United States. Membership includes:A subscription to the class newsletter Our newsletter, the Albacourier, is published four to five times per year, and includes articles on mastering sailing skills, boat maintenance and restoration, racing rules, strategy and tactics, class history, fleet activities, regatta announcements and results, and much more.Eligibility to participate in USAA sanctioned events USAA organizes Regional, National, and International regattas for its members and the members of other national Albacore associations. We also help to promote the growth and development of local fleets.A vote in the Association’s meetings The Albacore class is an "owner run", not "manufacturer run" organization. That means each member gets a say in how the class is managed. Any changes to boat design, class rules, or class administration are all subject to approval by the association’s members.USAA also provides many other services to its members
Annual membership costs only $35 for boat owners and $25 for non-boat owners/crew.
