Steven Brown: Shetland the brave Hi all, And as the title suggests, we must be the brave to contend with the heat difference we will have to endure over the next few days, if yesterday is anything to go by!! And where’s the wind gone America? I’ll have to get Frank to loose some weight! And now the mist today, what's up? We left Shetland on the 30th and landed at Dulles on the 2nd. Now, while getting around the sailing courses has been reasonably good this year so far, the Washington to Edgewater beat had to be against the tide methinks, and it has to be said that we did apparently fall victim to a few rules along the way, with several 720’s along the Interstates, well 3 actually!!! The question is, did the race committee have anything to do with removing several important marks, like junction numbers, along our course? Sorry race committee, don’t want to get in your bad books, I’ll just blame Frank and Johnny, I think its an age thing although I can’t really say something like that now, can I?
